Sushma Swaraj Introduces Passport Seva App To Bring "Passport Revolution".

                                                                         

External Minister Sushma Swaraj Launched a Passport Seva App for seamless Application and issue of passport.Addressing the official of several Passport Seva kendras and members of the Ministry of External Affairs on the occasion of passport Seva. Ms Swaraj mentioned that the two new schemes passport application from anywhere in India ,and filling passport application from mobile phones ,would make the procedure for obtsining passport simpler.
Riding on the new wave of information dissemination,Ministry of External Affairs has brought the passport related information on the mobile for smartphone users. Users can now access this information on their smartphones using app mPassport Seva App. mPassport seva app is designed primarily for the citizens who are interested in Passport related information only.It's a light weight easy to use app that provides specific details on areas such as Location of centers,Fee Application Status, Contact Information and others General Information.

Passport Seva Project, being executed by Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, aims at providing all the Passport-related services to the Indian Citizens in a speedy, convenient and transparent manner. This is one of the largest projects of the Government of India under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) being executed in public-private-partnership mode with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the private partner. The project is already operational and servicing citizens through 77 Passport Seva Kendras across India. 
MEA with a view to provide mobile enablement of public services, has launched a Mobile Application ‘mPassport Seva’ to offer a wide variety of services to smartphone users such as Passport application status tracking, locating the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) and general information on various steps involved in obtaining a Passport.
